THE OPEN GAME ART BUNDLE
So me (Reimagine :The Game:), Jimp (Sushi Cat), HalcyonicFalconX (Epic Battle Fantasy), Mindchamber (Newgrounds Rumble), and a few other game artists have put together this crowdfunding campaign, to release the copyrights on our previous game art and music.
Pay what you want for over 2GB+ of soundtracks, spritesheets, and source code, and help uncopyright our work! We’re 70% of the way to our goal, and with only five days left.
Please Back The Open Bundle!
The more humans a country has, the fewer human rights they get.
Speaking as a Chinese-Canadian, it sure seems this way. If you think about it, it’s a fairly obvious correlation. Developed countries have better human rights standards, as well as lower birth rates.
But I like to pretend it’s just because there’s not enough rights to hand out.
This week, Jason & I are creating a new puzzle game, where you can hack the game world itself. Every step and stumble we take is online for the world to see - check it out here!
Very interesting concept. I can’t wait to get off my mobile and try it out on a real computer with flash and a web browser.
~ Nutcase “Nick” Nightmare
It works on mobile! I wouldn’t say it’s completely functional, but it runs on my iPod, and I can play it.
Thanks for letting me know! Here’s a brand-new screenshot of the game for ya:
Recursion - You’re Full of Yourself
How do you dispose of a dead body?
First, you break the problem into chunks. Then, you break those chunks into smaller chunks. Keep doing this until each piece is an easily digestible problem, and thus, so is the whole thing.
This is recursion. (among other things)
By making something out of smaller versions of itself, you can create mountains out of molehills:
- Art - The Eiffel Tower. Russian nesting dolls. Fractals.
- Nature - Spiral shells. Trees. Brocolli, which are just tiny tasty trees.
- Logic - Inductive proofs. Divide-and-conquer algorithms. um… Recursion.
- Story within a story - Shakespeare. 1001 Nights. “It’s called Inception.”
- You - Yes, you’re made up of multiple yous. Have you ever had an argument with yourself?
We all have that urge to dream up big solutions for big problems.
But maybe it’s better… like art, evolution, and one’s mind… to start small and scale up.
If you don’t, your complicated solution to your complicated problem will create its own complicated problems needing more complicated solutions.
See? Even not using recursion leads to recursion.
Ask-Slenderman says your a proxy. Is this true? (Is that why all your characters are faceless?)
It’s true. He’s affected my mind.
I can no longer see faces, not even my own.
I have no mouth, and I must scream.
